ABSTRACT
High-risk pregnancy may affect maternal psychological well-being, particularly by increasing anxiety related to pregnancy and childbirth. This community service program aimed to improve knowledge and support the psychological well-being of high-risk pregnant women through the SEJIWA BUMIL RISTI program (Mental Well-being for High-Risk Pregnant Women). The activity involved 31 high-risk pregnant women in Dadirejo Village, within the working area of Tirto 1 Community Health Centre, Pekalongan Regency, Indonesia. The program was conducted in two sessions on January 20 and 29, 2026, through health education, interactive discussions, and psychosocial support. Knowledge was assessed using a questionnaire developed by the implementation team, while anxiety was assessed using a contextually adapted Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS). The mean knowledge score increased from 50.97 before the activity to 91.94 afterwards. Meanwhile, the mean HARS score decreased from 22.90 to 14.84. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a statistically significant difference in HARS scores before and after the program (p < 0.001). These findings indicate an increase in knowledge and a reduction in anxiety scores following the program. SEJIWA BUMIL RISTI may serve as a community-based approach to supporting the psychological preparedness of high-risk pregnant women through health education and strengthened social support.
