Screening for Plagiarism
To ensure that all submitted and published articles in the Breeding and Reproduction Journal (BreRep) are free from plagiarism, the editorial team will use Turnitin to check the similarity index with a maximum threshold of 20%. This screening process is conducted at two stages:
- Initial Submission: When the author submits the manuscript for the first time.
- Revision Submission: After the manuscript has been revised based on reviewer feedback.
If the manuscript meets the similarity standards, it will proceed to the next stage (peer review or publication). If not, the author will be required to revise and resubmit the manuscript to reduce the similarity index.
In addition to Turnitin, the editorial team may use Google Scholar and other tools to further ensure that:
- The article is not plagiarized.
- The manuscript has not been submitted to or published in other journals (to prevent double submission).
By conducting this rigorous plagiarism screening, BreRep upholds high ethical standards in academic publishing and ensures the originality and integrity of all published articles.
