This article documents a community engagement program based on the pentahelix model implemented in Dukuhmencek Village, Jember Municipality, which aims to enhance sheep farmers' capacity through the synergy of academia, community, government, social institutions, and business actors. The program was conducted from June to August 2025 through a series of training and mentoring activities covering forage and silage production, animal health, farm management, the development of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and the utilisation of livestock waste into bio-organic fertiliser. The method employed was a participatory approach involving interactive training, hands-on practice, and evaluation through pre- and post-tests. The evaluation results indicate significant improvements in knowledge, including silage (58.3%), animal health and farm management (38.3%), SOP development (47.9%), and bio-organic fertiliser (32.9%). Furthermore, farmers successfully practised technical skills such as vitamin injection, deworming, and the production of environmentally friendly organic fertiliser. The program has contributed to strengthening farmers’ professionalism, reducing environmental impacts, and diversifying income sources. These findings highlight that the pentahelix approach is not only relevant for enhancing individual capacity but also effective in strengthening sustainable livestock ecosystems at the village level.</em><em> </em></p> <p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: Bio-organic; Community empowerment; Food security; Pentahelix; Sheep farming </em></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Subsektor peternakan kambing memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung ketahanan pangan nasional, namun masih menghadapi kendala produktivitas, kesehatan ternak, dan pengelolaan limbah. Artikel ini mendokumentasikan program pengabdian masyarakat berbasis model pentahelix yang dilaksanakan di Desa Dukuhmencek, Kabupaten Jember, dengan tujuan meningkatkan kapasitas peternak kambing melalui sinergi akademisi, masyararakat, pemerintah, yayasan sosial, dan pebisnis. Dalam rangka mencapai ketahanan pangan, dilakukan serangkaian pelatihan dan pendampingan mencakup pengolahan pakan (hijauan dan silase), kesehatan ternak, manajemen kandang, penyusunan Standar Operasional Prosedur (SOP), serta pemanfaatan limbah menjadi pupuk bio-organik. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan partisipatif melalui pelatihan interaktif, praktik lapangan, serta evaluasi pre-test dan post-test. Hasil evaluasi menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada aspek pengetahuan, antara lain silase (58,3%), kesehatan ternak dan manajemen kandang (38,3%), SOP (47,9%), dan pupuk bio-organik (32,9%). Selain itu, peternak mampu menguasai keterampilan teknis seperti penyuntikan vitamin, pemberian obat cacing, serta produksi pupuk organik ramah lingkungan. Program ini berimplikasi pada penguatan profesionalisme peternak, pengurangan dampak lingkungan, serta diversifikasi sumber pendapatan. The Gintangan people already have solutions for developing local tourism potential based on cultural myths. However, it turns out that some of them are reluctant to local brand tourism commodities because of cultural myths. The issues are : 1) What is the impact of Gintangan cultural myths?; 2) How does diffrance respond to Gintangan cultural myths?; 3) How is a new construction being built amid Gintangan cultural myths in the development of the Gintangan tourist village?. These issues were resolved using qualitative methods. The results show : 1) Gintangan cultural myths have had impacts on collective pride, economic enablers, bamboo innovation, bamboo weaving education centers, bamboo houses, bamboo-themed meeting halls, bamboo-themed costume designs, bamboo festivals, symbolic dependencies, and product branding.; 2) Cultural myths are diffracted by suspending old solutions and designing new ones while analyzing the situation, opening counseling services, providing assistance in the creation of tourism commodities, and ensuring and perfecting new solutions to the problems of improving the quality of tourism village development desired by the actors. 3) New construction for the development of Gintangan Tourism Village in the form of promotional innovation designs, human resource capacity building designs, and tourism facility designs based on strategically developed</em> <em>local tourism capital to revitalize the local brand image competitiveness of Gintangan Tourism Village.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><em>: deconstruction, cultural myths, tourism village, Gintangan, Banyuwangi.</em></p> <p><strong> </strong></p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Dekonstruksi Mitos Budaya pada pembangunan Desa Wisata Gintangan merupakan sebuah konsentrasi dalam usaha penguatan daya saing wisata lokal selama kegiatan pengabdian S2 TPPP IPBI kepada masyarakat desa Gintangan. Masyarakat desa Gintangan telah memiliki solusi pengembangkan potensi wisata lokal berdasarkan mitos budaya. Akan tetapi, ternyata diantara mereka enggan membranding komoditi wisata dengan identitas lokal karena mitos budaya. Permasalahannya : 1) Apa dampak mitos budaya Gintangan?; 2) Bagaimana tindakan diffrance atas mitos budaya Gintangan?; 3) Bagaimana konstruksi baru ditengah praktik mitos budaya dalam pembangunan desa wisata Gintangan?. Permasalahan ini diselesaikan dengan menggunakan metode kualitatif. The activity was carried out at Masjid Al Ihsan, Pesona Sekar Gading Housing Complex, Sekardangan Village, and involved 25 participants consisting of mosque committee representatives and housewives. The program applied an educative and practical approach through counseling sessions, antemortem and postmortem examination training, supervised slaughtering practice, and hygienic meat handling and packaging. Evaluation was conducted using pre-test, post-test, questionnaires, and direct observation during the implementation process. The results showed an increase in participants’ understanding of zoonotic diseases by 40%, antemortem examination by 50%, slaughtering techniques by 40%, postmortem examination by 35%, recognition of healthy meat and organs by 35%, and hygienic meat packaging by 40%. Participants were actively involved in both discussion and practice sessions, indicating strong interest and relevance of the topic to community needs. The program was effective in strengthening community capacity to support the implementation of healthy, hygienic, and safe qurban practices in line with the ASUH principles.</em></p> <p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><strong><em>:</em></strong><em> qurban animals; ASUH; antemortem; postmortem; meat hygiene</em></p> <p><em> </em></p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan praktis takmir masjid serta masyarakat dalam pemilihan dan pemeriksaan hewan kurban sesuai prinsip aman, sehat, utuh, dan halal (ASUH) di Kabupaten Sidoarjo. Kegiatan dilaksanakan di Masjid Al Ihsan, Perumahan Pesona Sekar Gading, Kelurahan Sekardangan, dengan melibatkan 25 peserta yang terdiri atas perwakilan takmir masjid dan ibu rumah tangga. Program dilaksanakan melalui pendekatan edukatif dan aplikatif berupa penyuluhan, pelatihan pemeriksaan <em>antemortem</em> dan <em>postmortem</em>, pendampingan penyembelihan, serta praktik penanganan dan pengemasan daging secara higienis. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui <em>pre-test</em>, <em>post-test</em>, angket, dan pengamatan langsung selama kegiatan berlangsung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan pemahaman peserta tentang penyakit zoonosis sebesar 40%, pemeriksaan <em>antemortem</em> sebesar 50%, teknik penyembelihan sebesar 40%, pemeriksaan <em>postmortem</em> sebesar 35%, pengenalan ciri daging dan jeroan yang sehat sebesar 35%, serta teknik pengemasan daging yang higienis sebesar 40%. Peserta terlibat aktif dalam diskusi maupun praktik, yang menunjukkan tingginya minat dan relevansi topik dengan kebutuhan masyarakat. The program was designed to improve community capacity in identifying, inventorying, and planning the sustainable utilisation of local natural resources, especially mangrove and coastal resources. The activity was carried out through observation, socialisation, interviews, surveys, technical training, and participatory inventory of village resource potential. The results showed that Sarbe Village has diverse natural resource potential with high economic value, including mangrove crabs, fish, shrimp, shellfish, mangrove wood, mangrove litter, ant nest plants, orchids, sago, sago caterpillars, game animals, handicrafts, plantation crops, fruits, and freshwater fish. These resources have long been utilised by the community for subsistence and small-scale economic activities. However, their development remains constrained by limited market access, high transportation costs, and the low capacity of local communities in value-added processing and resource management. This activity identified several priority resources that can be sustainably developed to strengthen the local economy. Continued assistance in product processing, market strengthening, and community-based resource management is needed to ensure that the development of mangrove potential contributes more effectively to the welfare of coastal communities.</em><strong><em> </em></strong></p> <p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><strong><em>:</em></strong><em> mangrove forest potential; coastal community empowerment; local resources; sustainable management; Teluk Bintuni</em></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan masyarakat pesisir melalui pengembangan potensi sumber daya hutan mangrove di Kampung Sarbe, Distrik Kuri, Kabupaten Teluk Bintuni, Papua Barat. Program ini dirancang untuk meningkatkan kemampuan masyarakat dalam mengidentifikasi, menginventarisasi, dan merencanakan pemanfaatan sumber daya alam lokal, khususnya sumber daya mangrove dan kawasan pesisir, secara berkelanjutan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan melalui observasi, sosialisasi, wawancara, survei, pelatihan teknis, dan inventarisasi partisipatif terhadap potensi sumber daya kampung. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa Kampung Sarbe memiliki potensi sumber daya alam yang beragam dan bernilai ekonomi tinggi, meliputi kepiting bakau, ikan, udang, kerang, kayu bakau, serasah bakau, tanaman sarang semut, anggrek, sagu, ulat sagu, hewan buruan, kerajinan tangan, tanaman perkebunan, buah-buahan, dan ikan air tawar. Sumber daya tersebut selama ini telah dimanfaatkan masyarakat untuk kebutuhan hidup sehari-hari maupun kegiatan ekonomi skala terbatas. Namun, pengembangannya masih dihadapkan pada kendala akses pasar, tingginya biaya transportasi, dan belum optimalnya kapasitas masyarakat dalam pengolahan hasil dan pengelolaan sumber daya. Kegiatan ini berhasil mengidentifikasi sejumlah potensi prioritas yang layak dikembangkan secara lestari untuk memperkuat ekonomi lokal. The activity was conducted in August 2025 and involved 20 participants from diverse occupational backgrounds, most of whom were small-scale livestock keepers. The programme employed a participatory approach consisting of initial interviews, theoretical training, demonstrations, and hands-on practice. Evaluation was carried out through pre-test and post-test, observation of participants’ practical skills, and proximate analysis of the products. The results showed that participants’ understanding of the training materials increased to the range of 75%–85%. Participants were generally able to identify suitable raw materials, understand the basic principles of fish waste processing, and produce fish meal and fish silage with acceptable physical qualities. The proximate analysis indicated that the fish meal contained 53.7% crude protein, while the fish silage contained 27.88% crude protein. About 50% of participants expressed willingness to continue applying the technology after the programme. These findings indicate that fish-waste-based feed processing training can strengthen community capacity, improve local resource utilisation, and support the development of alternative poultry feed at the community level.</em><em> </em></p> <p><strong><em>Keywords</em></strong><strong><em>:</em></strong><em> fish waste; fish meal; fish silage; organic poultry feed; women farmers group</em></p> <p> </p> <p><strong>ABSTRAK</strong><strong> </strong></p> <p>Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk memberdayakan Kelompok Wanita Tani Citra Lestari di Kelurahan Sungai Besar, Kecamatan Banjarbaru Selatan, Kota Banjarbaru, melalui pelatihan pengolahan limbah ikan menjadi pakan unggas organik dalam bentuk tepung ikan dan silase ikan. Kegiatan dilaksanakan pada Agustus 2025 dengan melibatkan 20 peserta yang memiliki latar belakang profesi beragam, meskipun sebagian besar berprofesi sebagai peternak. Metode pelaksanaan menggunakan pendekatan partisipatif yang meliputi wawancara awal, pelatihan teoritis, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Evaluasi dilakukan melalui pre-test dan post-test, observasi keterampilan peserta selama praktik, serta uji proksimat terhadap produk yang dihasilkan. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman peserta terhadap materi meningkat hingga berada pada kisaran 75%–85%. Peserta umumnya mampu mengenali bahan baku yang layak, memahami prinsip dasar pengolahan limbah ikan, serta menghasilkan tepung ikan dan silase ikan dengan mutu fisik yang baik. Hasil uji proksimat menunjukkan bahwa tepung ikan mengandung protein 53,7%, sedangkan silase ikan mengandung protein 27,88%. Sebanyak 50% peserta menyatakan keinginan untuk melanjutkan penerapan teknologi setelah kegiatan berakhir.
